OBJECTIVE: To get familiar with KPMG's working culture and environment.


    

5/4/2023 (WEDNESDAY)

Activity: 

  1. Registered as a vacation trainee at KPMG in Malaysia.
  2. Orientation - briefing by IT Services and People, Performance and Culture (HR) about the rules and regulations to abide.
  3. Did assessments online which is compulsory for every trainee before being eligible to start any engagement.

6/4/2023 (THURSDAY)

Activity:

  1. Attended a virtual audit workshop by the audit team and was briefed about the procedures handling engagements.
  2. Received task from the senior in charge for the engagement since there were problems with the e-learning system.

7/4/2023 (FRIDAY)

Activity:

  1. Browse through the system to find documents and data regarding the client.
  2. Fill in screens in the system by referring and using previous years data as template.
  3. Upload files received from Audit Centralization Team (ACT) into the system.

OUTPUT: By the end of the week I manage to get a glimpse of KPMG's working culture by observing the other employees. I also manage to familiarize with the system that will be used to throughout auditing client.
